Our visual arts core programs focus on building skills and confidence by giving children an opportunity to practice self-expression, connect with their community, and find their passion.
Our extended programming explores multimedia art and theatre in partnership with local artists.
We also offer seasonal day camps.

Camp runs Monday to Thursday from 10am-3pm. Each child can register for ONE week ONLY and request a second week when completing their registration form. For any assistance registering or to join the waiting list please email contact@artcity.kids.

Our foundational class allows children to explore painting, drawing, crafting and more! Students learn foundational skills and find which medium is their favourite!

This program will get children engaged with various mediums and will pair students with an art buddy from a local high-school. Due to the popularity of this class we have two sessions running this year; a Tuesday class and a Wednesday class. Children may register for either the Tuesday or Wednesday session.

This program will get children engaged with various mediums and challenge youth to complete more in-depth and complex art projects.
VISUAL ARTS CORE PROGRAM
Students build technical drawing competency by learning more advanced visual art techniques and creating more complex and challenging art projects. This program develops leadership skills and hours are documented for high school Community Involvement Activities initiative.
VISUAL ARTS CORE PROGRAM
Students develop foundational drawing skills using a variety of tools, approaches and media. Students build technical drawing competency by learning shading, line drawing and how to draw more complex images by breaking them down into simple shapes.

Our YouTube videos provide step-by-step instructions for fun crafts, drawings and other great art activities – all with materials you can find around the house. A home computer or tablet is required. Perfect for a rainy day!

Students will learn new painting techniques, explore different painting styles and experiment with painting on different surfaces, like canvas, paper, wood, plastic and more. Students will also explore crafting and other media in this class.

Students will explore drawing, painting and crafting through live zoom lessons on-line. Each week students will complete a lesson in a different medium and will complete an individual project. A home computer or tablet is required. Art Kits provided.

This class teaches fundamentals in a variety of media. Students will experiment with crafting, clay, painting, drawing and more.
Delivered in partnership with Havergal College, students will learn from guest youth artists.

Some years we are able to offer a week-long camp session during March Break. This program includes daily arts and crafts, team building games and a local field trip.

In a special month-long program, youth explore challenging art projects, while gaining volunteer hours and leadership experience!

Summer Camp runs for 7 weeks from July to August. Each year camp explores different themes, with an emphasis on learning about nature and art in the outdoors. Camp includes weekly excursions, team building games and daily art projects. A limited number of spots are reserved for junior campers (age 5).
Each camper may register for one week and request a second.
VISUAL ARTS EXTENDED PROGRAM
On occasion, we are able to offer special one-day “camps” during specific celebrations, such as Earth Day.
